My Process of creating
The details of how to - but if that's too long, have fun watching the video...
I design unique sterling silver components, handcrafted from Precious Metal Clay (PMC). PMC is an eco-friendly material, consisting of 90%, partially recycled, silver particles and 10% organic binder.
My original designs are created by texturing soft clay, using a specific texture plate with a meaningful design in mind. After cutting out the desired shape I like to add wording to personalize my designs. I love to texture my creations on the front and back, so pieces are reversible and versatile.
After shaping, drying and sanding, the sample is fired in a kiln, where the clay transforms - just like magic- into solid silver by fusing the silver particles together.
The sterling silver component, token or charm is finished by cleaning and tumbling. To emphasize textures, I had-paint each piece with liver of sulfur solution to bring out the texture and/or wording with patina.
Then I assemble the one-of-a-kind sterling silver component with selected findings into to the original design. I can cast high-quantities with recycled Sterling Silver, and finish each piece one-by-one. Limited editions for my clients are my specialty. Because I care - and thrive to inspire people to spread good vibes. One smile at a time.
It's my purpose is to create and give gifts with good vibes and inspire and uplift people. Every little smile counts.
During the month of April 2020 I gave away 10 Good Vibes Bracelets. We encouraged all my Instagram followers to appreciate and nominate people that are working hard in the times of COVID-19 or just need some extra TLC, maybe going though a rough time. Calling out to thank all people on the front line, doctors, nurses, neighbors, moms, friends, mailman, and grocery clerks and so many more.
